The Global Encounters (GE) team plays an integral role within JDC's Resource Development (RD) efforts to cultivate and engage new and existing donors.  The Director of Global Encounters leads the effort to develop creative, meaningful and educational experiences for funders and potential funders across the JDC world, reflecting JDC's mission and RD's strategic cultivation interests. 
 
תיאור התפקיד: 
Develop strategic work plan for GE; responsible for implementation of plan
Supervision and training of Global Encounters Team (based in Jerusalem and New York)
Interface with JDC global field and RD staff 
Interface with JDC partners and funders as needed
Development of creative and innovative donor engagement experiences 
Planning and implementation of global missions and JDC speakers deployment, including itineraries and ground arrangements where applicable
Development of missions-related materials
Oversight and management of all legal and logistic processes and procedures related to hosting individuals and groups at JDC locations around the world
Ensure compliance with JDC protocols and policies related to missions (contracts, security, expenses/billing, insurance etc.); provide appropriate guidance to GE and other JDC staff  
Staffing and planning of missions 
Additional ad hoc assignments

Proven experience in supervision, management and training of staff
Strong people management skills 
Superb organizational and logistic and executive administrative skills
Excellent relationship-builder 
Strong verbal and written skills; ability to present to diverse groups
Detail oriented while understanding macro issues
Able to work well and calmly under pressure
Team player, self-starter, multi-tasker
BA required, MA preferred
Excellent presentation skills in English, and ability to lead small and large groups
Creative thinker
Available to travel in Israel and internationally
Willing to work flexible hours when necessary
Israeli driver's license
English at mother tongue level, fluent written and spoken Hebrew
Computer skills – Outlook, Word, Excel
Familiarity with Jewish communal world in North America and elsewhere; understanding of the Jewish philanthropic environment
Professional background in educational work – an advantage
Knowledge of Israel's social services and education system – an advantage
